Bernadette Collins
Occupational Therapist
Bernadette graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) (Hons) in 1995. Bernadette commenced Bernadette Collins Occupational Therapy in 1997 which has grown over the past 25 years and has now rebranded to Key Therapy Services. Bernadette’s private practice work incorporates areas from general therapy, functional assessments, equipment prescriptions, modification assessment, medico legal assessment and rehabilitation. She is a qualified Complex Home Modifications Occupational Therapist and is also a DVA Approved Provider and registered for NDIS. Bernadette participates regularly in ongoing professional development to facilitate the best outcomes.

Christine O’Brien
Occupational Therapist
Born and raised in the Lismore area, Christine completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from Sydney University in 1993. She has worked in both Australia and the UK in a variety of community and hospital settings. Christine has been working for Key Therapy Services since 2007. She has expertise in the areas of functional assessment, equipment prescription, home modifications, pressure care, cognitive assessment and adult rehabilitation. Christine enjoys working in a client centred multidisciplinary setting supporting people to reach their full functional potential.

Colleen Reilly
Occupational Therapist
Colleen graduated from University of Queensland in 1981. She has enjoyed working in Occupational Therapy and associated roles across a variety of areas and found OT easily intertwined with other life goals of travel and family. Colleen has primarily worked in rural areas and community settings with people living with disability and paediatrics. In 2013 she joined Key Therapy Services and in 2015 she completed post-graduate training to conduct driving assessments. Colleen currently work in adult rehabilitation and in the community completing driving assessments.

Anna Gollan
Occupational Therapist
Anna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Griffith University in 2021. She is committed to providing client-centred and meaningful interventions to her work with children and their families in the community. Anna is passionate about supporting children and their families to achieve goals that are meaningful. These may be goals to develop skills for self-care or play or the skills needed to engage in the classroom, home or community. Anna is committed to providing therapy that is fun, family-centred and takes a strengths-based approach.

Melanie Hockings
Occupational Therapist
Melanie graduated from Southern Cross University in 2022. As a keen new Occupational Therapist, she has a strong interest in working with older adults to support wellbeing and satisfaction later in life. Melanie believes that matching client goals with community resources can achieve broad benefits by valuing each individual’s contribution to our world. Melanie’s favourite part of being an Occupational Therapist is learning about the incredible lives people continue to lead, and collaboratively reaching strengths-based solutions with clients. Melanie is a lifelong learner and is committed to professional development and reflection to improve therapeutic outcomes for clients.

Katie Slattery
Occupational Therapist
After graduating with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science degree in 2010, Katie decided to further her studies and pursue a career as an Occupational Therapist. She graduated in 2015 and has since gained multiple years of experience working with the NDIS and providing therapy to individuals with disabilities. Katie has experience working with a wide range of conditions and diagnoses, including but not limited to neurological conditions, congenital conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. She is skilled in assessments, goal setting, treatment planning, and intervention delivery. She also has experience working with clients of all ages, from children to older adults.

Sameena (Sammie) Smith
Occupational Therapist
Sameena graduated from the University of Northumbria (UK) in 2016 with a first-class honour’s degree in Occupational Therapy. When in the UK, Sameena acquired diverse experience through her work in various specialities including trauma, orthopaedics, vascular surgery and amputations, aged care, hand therapy and neurological rehabilitation. Throughout this period, she provided ADL and cognitive assessments and retraining, discharge planning, home assessments and minor modifications, and equipment prescription. Sameena migrated to Australia in 2022 and has since worked in residential and community aged care, and in the NDIS space. Sameena is strongly motivated to help individuals achieve their goals no matter how big or small.

Keely Mobley
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Keely was born and raised in Lismore and is an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Key Therapy Services. Currently in her final year studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Southern Cross University, Keely is deeply passionate about empowering individuals across the lifespan to live purposefully and independently. With experience working alongside NDIS participants, Aged Care clients, and paediatric clients in school settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her role. She assists in producing reports, capacity-building programs, resource development, and equipment trials.

Jane
Office Manager
Jane moved to the Northern Rivers in 1990 and completed a Bachelor of Business through the University of New England. Jane has extensive experience in medical administration, having been the backbone to Key Therapy Services since 2004. Jane is our Operations Manager and ensures all the behind the scenes administration is completed. Her efficiency ensures the practice runs smoothly.

Wendy
Scheduler
Wendy, our second wonderful administrator, started working at Key Therapy Services in 2022. Wendy is also a born and raised local; and has had many years’ of experience in customer service, having moved into Allied Health after a career in banking. Wendy’s friendly outgoing manner endears her to all our clients and her organisational skills ensure our clients get a timely service.
